Synnotts roots in furniture date back three generations as far as the early twentieth century. In 1920 Michael Synnott snr. founded the company named Irish Art Cabinet Factory in Limerick City.
The company's experience built up over three generations has given John and his team of craftsmen the expertise to create authentic and museum-standard reproductions. After the death of Michael Synnott snr. in 1975, his work was continued by his son, Michael, who was trained by his father as a Master Cabinet Maker. He further developed and expanded the company until his death in 2003.
Over the years, the company has established its reputation for making the finest furniture and in recent years has diversified into Architectural Interiors to include solid wood paneling, window and door linings, window shutters etc. Our traditional skills and techniques allows us to approach each project, from a big commercial space to a period home renovation, with the same level of skill and attention to detail of which any eighteenth-century craftsman would be proud.
With this wealth of history and experience the present MD John Synnott is well set to lead his company into the 21st Century.
